Ring die wood pelletizer press is the most popular and best selling pelletizer, it is designed to produce biomass pellets from wood logs, waste wood, sawdust, wood chips, tree branches, rice husk, coconut shell, straw and any kind of biomass material.
During the ring die wood pelletizer press running, under the transmission of motor the ring die is rotating 150rpm together with the hollow shaft, while the rollers are in the front of main shaft, the rollers are in the middle of ring die, the rollers are stable, when material feed into pelletizing chamber by feeder auger and force feeder, the roller shells are rotating by the fraction of material, rollers press the material into hole of ring die to get pellets.
Due to this unique structure, inside the pelletizing chamber there is more strong strength to press the biomass material inside ring die. And when the pelletizer making pellets, the temperature in pellet chamber can reach 80 Celsius, the high temperature can make the fiber in biomass material much more soft thus to make the pelletizing much more easier.
Because of this advantage, the pellets made from ring die wood pelletizer press hardness is high and surface is shinning, thus in Europe if produce high quality pellets to meet EN A+ standard, most people choose to use ring die type ring die wood pelletizer press.
Main parts of ring die wood pelletizer press
Ring die is an important part for a ring die wood pelletizer press, it decide the diameter of pellets, color of pellets, hardness of pellets as well as quality of pellets.
One important data for ring die is compression ratio, only with a good compression ratio the ring die can make high quality pellets. The compression ratio is ratio between effective compression length of the hole and effective diameter of the hole. For different raw material the compression ratio is different, produce pellets from low bulk density raw material the compression ratio should be a bit higher than produce pellets from high bulk density raw material.
Our ring die is made of 42CrMnTi high wearing resisting alloy steel, with quench and heat treatment technology to improve the hardness and lifetime of ring die.
Inside the hole of ring die there is four part, first part from inner said is subuliform, which makes easier for material press into hole of ring die. Second part from inner said is a hole with diameter a little bigger than pellet diameter, it is also designed for easier press material into the hole, the third part from inner side decide diameter of pellets, it is the effective compression length of hole, the length of this part decide the compression ratio of ring die. The lat part is at the outside this part diameter is bigger than pellets diameter for pellets easier discharge from the hole.
Roller assembly is rollers inside ring die wood pelletizer press, each pelletizer have two rollers. Inside the pelletizing chamber rollers press material into hole of ring die. The roller rotating by fraction between roller and material, material and ring die, when ring die rotating because fraction the roller shell is also rotating.
A roller include roller shaft, roller shell, two bearings, space ring, roller cover, lock nut and jump ring.
Roller shell is wearing part of pellet mill, during pellet mill working, because the fraction between roller shell and material, the wave on roller shell will be worn out, so replace new roller shell is necessary when it worn out
Roller shaft is a eccentric shaft, because of the eccentric design, when the shaft is stable the roller shell rotating, it can press material into hole of ring die
Inside roller shaft there is a hole to inject grease to the two bearings, which is important for roller, if no grease inside roller, the bearings will be burnt
Gearbox of ring die ring die wood pelletizer press is vertical type design, inside gearbox is a big gear and a small gear, the big gear connect to shaft of pellet mill, the small gear connect to main motor by coupling
When motor turn on, the small gear rotating together with motor, at same time small gear drive big gear rotating
The pole of main motor decide the rotating speed of small gear, and module of gear decide the rotating speed of big gear, thus to decide the rotating speed of ring die
To improve stability of ring die wood pelletizer press, we use eight poles motor on our pelletizer, the rotating speed is around 740rpm, with the gearbox it can reduce the rotating speed of ring die to 150rpm, so the gearbox is also a big reducer in the pellet machine.
Our gears are designed according to the strength and pressure need for pelletizing, so the teeth of gear, raw material of gear is carefully calculated to make sure the hardness can bear the high pressure.
Ring die type pelletier have two shaft, one is main shaft the other is hollow shaft.
When assemble the machine, main shaft shaft is inside the hollow shaft, in front main shaft is rollers while in front of hollow shaft is ring die. Back side of main shaft is safety seat, while ack side of hollow shaft is fitted in the big gear. When turn on the motor, the motor drive small gear and small gear drive big gear, when big gear rotating the hollow shaft rotating together, that is why when machine running the roller is stable and ring die is rotating.
Our main shaft and hollow shaft is made of 42CrMn alloy steel, to improve the hardness and wearing resisting to assure it’s functional and lifetime.
Under EN and DIN Plus A1 standard, the length of pellets should < 5 times of diameter of pellets, this means there is requirement on length of high quality pellets.
Our ring die type wood pellet mill press equipped with a pellet cutter, when the pellets compressed from hole of ring die, there is a cutter near ring die, during ring die rotating the cutter cutting the pellets.
On the cutter unit there is a dividing ruler, which can adjust the gap between blade and ring die thus to adjust length of pellets.
The blade of cutter unit is made of high strength alloy steel, the lifetime of this blade is longer than 2 years.
